OK trying to get my son bf2 up and running when you try to start bf2 comes up than in a few seconds it goes back to your desk top. Ive tried turn off firewall, and anti virus. still to no luck .Is there any thing else I can try?Also made sure he was running direct9.c first.

that happened to me when i got the game.in my case it was the video card.check and see if the card is good enough for the game. i think it calls for 128mb or better and also it wont run on some radeon cards i had the 9250-256mb the game would load up until it said welcome to duty and crash back to desktop every time

yo...up the ram from 512 to 1024!!!!!!! then with his old system......he may want to just reformat and start with a fresh drive!!! i dread the day i have to reformat!!! S! p.s. when posting a prob like this..it may help to post machine specs also. 1.4 gig p4 512 ram what kind of graphics card........ i dont think his 1.4 p4 is the problem yet.....once he gets things straightened out he may find that once in game his comp IS a little too slow to handle the stress. but now that you guys bought new ram, graphics card, etc,...all he would need to buy is a new MOBO and CPU (not that expensive) and rebuild a new system.
