My computer about a month ago began to hang up after windows loads. After my background image loads the CPU light turns off, nothing is running in background and processes are all low, the comp waits about 1-2 min then CPU light comes back on and icons load up. Is my hard drive or something failing failing? I have run my usual, ad aware, AVG anti virus, spy bot, online pc scanners ect. any Ideas would be a great help 4 min for a 1 year old computer to boot really sucks. Thanks S!

i dont know much about that kind of stuff, but sounds like something is teling the computer to do that....possibly related to a corrupt registry?  ?? do some research on all that registry crap...seee what it does and how it controls your comp...maybe a bad file... possibly it is double booting...kinda reminds me of how bf2 loads when you load up regular bf2...select a SF server....game shutsdown and glitches and reloads the SF.....then everything is ok... just rambling....brainstorming....hope it gives you some food for thought. S! |

good points. I have registry mechanic but subscription ran out about 5 months ago so cant update it anymore. I may not have run that one let me try and report back S!

Yes perhaps you should get with me on ventrilo tonite, I have some ideas, like checking the boot path in your bio's. doing a sisoft or aida 32 system tset to see if your ram, CPU, or mother board is crapping out.You may end up having to do a windows repair if you have some missing registry. If you do it correctly you wont lose anything on yer pc but there are some things you would need to copy into your My Documents folder to save them
